This is an original 1909 black and white halftone print of the grave stele of Hegeso which is a relief sculpture of the deceased Hegeso who is seated in a chair and picking out jewelry from a box her servant has brought her. This stele was found in the cemetery of Kerameikos in Athens, Greece, and is thought to be from the 5th century BC.
