Jules Guerin
Jules Guerin (1866-1946) was born in St. Louis, Missouri and studied art in Chicago and later in Paris where he studied under Benjamin-Constant and Jean Paul Laurens. After his return from Europe he illustrated books, often travel books about exotic places including North Africa and Palestine. He took part in many of the international expositions of the day and was asked to serve as director of color at the Panama Pacific International Exposition of 1915. Guerin's mural decorations can be found in many cities in the U. S. including New York, Chicago, Cleveland, and San Francisco.
