This is an original 1918 2-page halftone print set (two single-sided pages, both with unrelated print on the reverse) of images of the events that unfolded when the American troops captured Cantigny during World War I; the images involve the work of the Franco-American forces while under shrapnel fire, cleaning up after the destruction, and the view of the battlefield during the advance.
