This is an original 1918 halftone print of a camouflaged tank in the Balkans and a siren in Paris, France. The caption reads, "Natural looking trees, painted on this reservoir against a gray background, make it almost invisible to scouting airplanes. Everything of value must be camouflaged where air raids are common, or run the chance of being destroyed." On the sirens in Paris, it writes, "Paris has twenty-six huge toots, operated by electric motors. This one is located on Notre Dame and its blast can be heard for miles in all directions when sounded at the approach of hostile planes, or when the long range gun begins to bombard the city."
