This is an original 1918 black and white halftone print of Yegor (alternately, Egor) Sazonov, a socialist revolutionary who assassinated Russian Minister of the Interior Vyacheslav von Plehve by throwing a bomb into his carriage. After his capture and imprisonment he eventually committed suicide at his hard labor camp in Siberia, protesting the flogging of political prisoners.
