This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of Athens, Greece. In the distance, the famous acropolis can be seen. The caption writes, "Athens, Greece, once the intellectual centre of the world. No city has more profoundly influenced the art and thought of the human race. The central hill, 512 feet high, 300 feet above the town, forms a precipitous citadel, the famed acropolis. The modern city here shown is divided into six districts and has a population of nearly 200,000."
