This is an original 1924 halftone print of actors in Frederick Lonsdale's "Spring Cleaning." Shown are Violet Heming, A. E. Mathews, Arthur Bryan, and Estelle Winwood as well as various others. Violet Heming was born in Leeds, England and at the age of 12, appeared as Wendy in "Peter Pan," and later as Rebecca in "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm." She worked for the Goldwyn Company and for Paramount Pictures. Mathews was an English actor who worked in theatre and film for eight decades. He is known for his work in "The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp," "The Million Pound Note," and "The Magic Box." Estelle Winwood was also an English film and stage actress and trained at the Lyric Stage Academy in London before appearing in "Johannesburg" at the age of twenty.
