This is an original 1925 halftone print of a large termite (or white ant) hill of Alberta. Unfortunately, we are unsure where exactly Alberta is located, but we do know that it is in equatorial Africa. The caption writes, "Some of these curious formations are thirty feet high." Photography by the Phelps-Stokes Fund.
