This is a rare tiny original 1930 black and white print ad for Raymond-Whitcomb tours. The ad discusses the Passion Play of Oberammergau in the Bavarian Highlands, Germany (Deutschland). The town is famous for its Passion Play, first performed in 1634, and presented once every ten years thereafter. The citizens made a vow to God to perform the play after being spared from the bubonic plague in the 17th century. The play involves over 2,000 actors and utilizes all of the residents in the village.
