This is an original 1931 black and white halftone print that depicts an aerial view of Kiefhoek in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The housing project was the brainchild of Jacobus Johannes Oud, a Dutch architect and follower of the De Stijl movement. He was inspired to create housing based on "poetic functionalism." Cost effective, yet still aesthetically pleasing.
