This is an original 1934 halftone print portrait of Henry Morgenthau Jr., the secretary of the treasury from 1934 to 1945. Morgenthau believed in the execution of the top 50 or 100 German fascist criminals after World War II. He had a good deal of success in persuading the plan, but the Nuremberg Trials became the final decision.
