Period Paper has obtained this exclusive collection of rare halftone prints from a journey taken by Philip Gibbs, who traveled through Switzerland, France, Hungary, Austria, Italy and the Saar during the spring and summer months of 1934. The illustrations were crafted by E. Lander, who portrayed scenes in Moret, Vezelay, Paris, Sens, Stuttgart, Avallon and others. Additional illustrations included that of a labor camp in Munich, cityscapes, churches and cathedrals, as well as scenes of the rise of the malicious German military prior to the onset of World War II.
