This is an original 1937 color print portrait of Azam Jah, the Prince of Berar. At the time of this image, he had a fortune of $750,000,000 and ruled over 14,000,000 subjects. In 1937, Time magazine noted Azam Jah as the richest person in the world. In 2008, he was regarded as the fifth wealthiest man in the history of the world.
