This is an original 1940 black and white print ad for the Helm House, "the newest and most up-to-date apartment house in Japan" at 53 Yamashita-cho, Naka-Ku, Yokohama, Japan. During the US Occupation after World War II, this ferro-concrete, earthquake-proof building was used by officers of the Eighth Army.
