This is an original 1950 color print ad for "Chesterfield Cigarettes," by the Liggett Myers Tobacco Company. The ad features the then well-known actor, Alan Ladd who was starring in the Paramount Picture "United States Mail"; and challenges the reader to make their own taste comparison. There were no cancer warnings in those days. Smoking was considered to be masculine and cool!
