This is an original 1957 black and white print ad for United States savings bonds that was sponsored by the Public Service Advertising Council that featured actor Lionel Barrymore in the role of Ebenezer Scrooge from the 1938 film based on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Barrymore also played the role of the villainous Mr. Potter in the 1946 film It's a Wonderful Life.
