This is an original 1984 color print of three rails: the Andean Coot (head only, upper left), found from Ecuador to Tierra del Fuego; the Redgartered Coot (head only, upper right), found near lakes and ponds in southern South America; and the Whitewinged Coot (bottom), found in southern South America.
Period Paper is pleased to offer a group of lovely color prints of birds of the family Rallidae. Commonly called rails, they are small-to-medium sized birds which are mostly associated with marshes or wetland habitats.
