This is an original 1984 color print of four rails: the Redchested Crake (top: female left, male right), found from Ethiopia to South Africa; and the Whitespotted Crake (bottom: female left, male right), found in western equatorial Africa.

Period Paper is pleased to offer a group of lovely color prints of birds of the family Rallidae. Commonly called rails, they are small-to-medium sized birds which are mostly associated with marshes or wetland habitats.
